PROJECT INFORMATION

The place for experience located on one of the busy streets in  Cardiff City Center is a unique perform space combined with all-year operating bar. Perfect for people looking to make their night more fancy and have a one of a kind experience.


Inspired by the House of Dancing Water (China), the place for experience is build in a way to give human an illusion of the building being an underwater glass box. The performance area is designed to accommodate any small music show such as band's concert or DJ show. For more intimate experiences, the show can be also admired from the level of the underground bar area.


Total internal area: 420m².

HOST BUILDING

Three floors commercial space with views onto Church Street in Cardiff City Centre. It has an open plan dynamic interior of around 4m height potential and more than 400m² area. With little to no direct sunlight during the year, it is a perfect location for dark and moody show venue.

10 FACTS

1. The place for experience is all about human body in water as art, which is reflected in the show elements and interior design as well.
2. The stage area is covered with anti-slip material (rate R11) for better security of performers.
3.There are different types of glass barriers that lift up during any type of show for better security of the artists or viewers.

4. The pool was built from SecurityPlus laminated glass with reinforced layer of DuPont SentryGlas. It has a volume of  69.8m and 3.8m depth.
5. Walls on the ground floor are covered with monitors which display different sizes of motion videos of people dancing underwater.
6. Performers enter the stage from located on the first floor glass bridges. During rehearsals the area is closed behind soundproof frosted glass.
7. Water tanks at the entrance to the building are used for attracting attention of pedestrians by non-verbal "conversations" with performers.
8. Each of the high bar tables with the light have a secret service button.
9. The security room serves also as a control room during shows.
10. The bar has a secret room for waste designed for improvement of working conditions.
